S-transform based fluctuation analysis-a method for pre-cancer detection

The fluctuations of spatial variation of biological tissue refractive index has been analysed by using S-transform (ST). This study uses S-transform for identifying different grades of cervical cancer of differential interference contrast (DIC) images of stromal region tissues. the subtle differences are reflected in the spatial frequency distribution containing the random structures of different types of tissues.
