Decision support system for circuit-breaker technical state assessment

The paper presents a decision making system for 35-110 kV circuit-breakers on the basis of their technical state assessment (TSA) as a calculation example. A generalized assessment was performed on the basis of the state assessment of the following main system elements: a contact system; an arc-extinguishing chamber; a motor; a tank; bushings; internal insulation; a control board. The electric equipment technical diagnostics data obtained during the equipment test was used as initial data. The designed model was verified using the specialized software package in terms of exemplifying the 110 kV circuit-breakers' TSA, a sufficient level of the assessment accuracy for practical realization was obtained, which confirmed the acceptance of the designed solution. Models for the 110 kV circuit-breaker TSA based on neuro fuzzy inference were developed. The developed system adjustment and its testing for the purpose of the mathematical model adaptation to a real object constituted the most complicated part of the calculation example. It was caused by the following supplementary sub-problems also solved within the framework of the present paper: training samples formation and optimization; determination of the membership functions' optimal type and number; definition of fuzzy production rules and their number and also numerous tests of the developed system on different test samples.
