Levelized electricity cost of two grid connected biomass power plants

In this paper case study of two biomass power plants which are producing electricity and connected to grid and working on Fluidized Bed Combustion technology are presented. Technical and financial parameters of plants have been specified. Levelized electricity cost of both the biomass plants is calculated and compared. The parameters which are influencing the LEC such as capital cost, operation & maintenance cost and fuel or feed stock cost, interest rate, inflation rate, life span of the plant have been taken into consideration for calculation of LEC.
