Research for Construction Process Monitoring System of Main Reflector System for FAST

Ring beam is one of the most important structures for main reflector system of FAST. During the cable-net construction phase and the reflector hoisting stage, ring beam is used for the track of installation vehicles. The stresses of ring beam are intensified. The construction process monitoring system of main reflector system for FAST is introduced. Firstly, according to calculating results of designation, monitoring points for the monitoring system are designed. Secondly, a complete design scheme of construction process monitoring system is proposed. Thirdly, the hardware system and the software system for the monitoring system are detailed discussed. Finally, the monitoring system has applied to the construction of main reflector system for FAST. This study can guide theory and serve as a practical reference for similar projects.
