Azimuth ambiguity in redundant sampled stripmap SAS imaging

Spatial redundant sampling in stripmap SAS imaging is addressed in this paper, and the introduced aliasing is studied by theoretical and simulated results. An intuitive ambiguity suppression approach is proposed and validated. The provided relationship between redundant sampling and reconstructed image provides additional information for subsequent automatic target recognition in image processing.
