Cartoon Material Annotation and Retrieval System for Web-Interactive-Service Cartoon Making

Based on the abundant cartoon material database, interactive fast cartoon making needs further study. This paper studies and realizes a cartoon material annotation and retrieval system for interactive fast cartoon making. Thus studying the annotation and retrieval of cartoon material is necessarily for it can reuse the cartoon material. First, it builds an abundant cartoon material database. Then, it studies the semantic annotation methods of cartoon scene and feature material. Finally, it proposes various browsing and retrieval methods based on the feature of color, invariant local feature and shape, etc. The system has the ability of fast retrieval and is proved to be extensible, interactive. Through reasonable effective management and reuse of animation material, based on semantic retrieval to get relevant material, so as to support the creation of the animators. Some of its key techniques have already been applied successfully in cartoon making enterprises, work difficulty of animation has reduced and the time of the animation creation is shorted.
