Evaluation of powder coatings for electrical devices

Coatings applied from insulating powders are increasing in importance and reliable methods must be selected for their evaluation. There are no industry standards for measuring these integral films which are formed directly on surfaces and are bonded to them. In addition, there are no generally accepted specifications for the kinds of tests which are most significant. Areas of agreement on measurements are needed between suppliers and consumers and it is hoped that realistic standards will be adopted.
