Time-reversibility in chaotic problems numerical solution

This paper discusses the difficulties of chaotic systems computer simulation. The new symmetric extrapolation ODE solver is applied to the Sprott C chaotic dynamical system. It is shown, that the time-reversibility of the symmetric integration methods can provide an effective approach to the truncation error estimation and divergence point detection. The possibility to build high-precision chaotic ODE solvers is discussed.
