Guidance on automotive software development in relationship to EMC

Achieving EMC of vehicle electronics, and indeed of electronics in other applications, has to be regarded from a "total system" viewpoint. Development issues including hardware design and embedded software cannot proceed in isolation. Whilst hardware measures will remain the front line defence against EMI, software design can play an important part in mitigating the effects of EMI and in ensuring the correct and safe operation of systems in hostile environments.
