A novel compact circular slotted microstrip-fed antenna for UWB application

In this paper we have proposed a circular patch antenna for ultra wide band applications. It incorporate three layers namely ground, substrate and patch in which patch is embedded on the FR-4 substrate whose permittivity is 4.4 and thickness is 1.6 mm. The antenna structure has tremendous band response from the operating frequency range is 3.1–10.7 GHz with 3.9 GHz resonating frequency. The return loss at each frequency is S11 < −20 dB. The various antenna parameters like VSWR, Return loss, and Radiation patterns of designed antenna are presented in this paper.
