Performance analysis of transceiver 4 × 4 space time block coded MIMO-OFDM system

Four transmit antennas STBC MIMO-OFDM yield a better spatial diversity gaining. Code rate ¾ produces a better data rate and bandwidth efficiency than code rate ½. Meanwhile, code rate ½ superiors in term of error correction that it has more larger 25 % correction bits. BER 10^-3, code rate ½ produces about 1.2 dB gaining compared to code rate ¾. Higher level modulation generates a better data rate but it needs a bigger SNR value at particular BER. In additional, more number of receive antennas produce a higher capacity because of the advantage in term of spatial and temporal diversity.
