Access network architecture and economics for Internet

This paper describes the trend of standardization of ADSL which is considered as a promising access technology, and presents the systematic and economical deployment strategy for access network based on ADSL technology. Especially, from the telecom operator's point of view, this paper proposes the two-phase evolution scenario, considering some factors: target users, target modems, and target network topology.
