Managing the human processes in curriculum reform

Institution-wide reform of the curriculum at the Colorado School of Mines, USA, has called for the participation of many constituencies, demanding an on-going process of evolution, negotiation, communication and action. This paper describes how these processes have been managed in CSM's move from a visionary statement of educational goals to the implementation of a new curriculum, and it describes how these processes are becoming institutionalized for a future of continuous curriculum renewal.
