Methodology of selecting appropriate technologies for constructing telecommunication access networks

Description of a methodology for selecting appropriate technologies for constructing telecommunication access networks in the conditions of a specific locality is given. The methodology is used to select appropriate technologies for constructing the access networks of Ukraine's largest telecommunications operator (Ukrtelecom). Methodology may be useful for network owners (or designers) as a basis for developing their own support systems for decision making in the matter of developing next-generation telecommunication networks.
