Low power ultrawideband radar device for close range detection of human body and bodily functions

Research reported in this paper dealt with the construction aspects of a low power ultrawideband radar designed for close range detection of human body and bodily functions. These works have been performed in frame of RADCARE project that focused on the area of health care services for elderly people. Along with the description of the construction challenges an introduction to the principles of radar operation is given.
