Ghost Canceler LSI Kit For TV Set

Recently, High quality picture TVs such as ACTV, EDTV, and HDTV are widely discussed. One of the improvement picture degradation in over-the-air television (ground-wave) is the reduction of ghost interference that results from the multipath propagation created as the reflection or scatter of the transmitted signal from buildings or mountains, etc. Ghosts are multiple images being overlaid along with the original image on the TV receiver. We have successed in developing an LSIS (picture 1) for a ghost canceler (see fig. 1) in Japan.
