1.65-/spl mu/m band fibre Raman amplifier pumped by wavelength-tunable broad-linewidth light source

A high-gain (33 dB) and wide-band (over 40 nm) 1.65-/spl mu/m fibre Raman amplifier is realized using a novel wavelength-tunable (1540-1563 nm) and broad-linewidth (larger than 0.8 nm) pump light source.
