Introduction to the Special Mini-Issue on Two Russian Organized Conferences With Focused THz Content - II

The papers in this special issue are devoted to the latest research carried out in Russia involving THz science and technology. The July Mini-Issue included contributions expanded from selected conference papers, mostly related to solid-state physics, presented at the 16th International Conference on Laser Optics, Saint Petersburg, Russia, June 30–July 4, 2014, and the International Conference on Advanced Laser Technologies (ALT 2014), held in Cassis, France, from October 6–10, 2014. The current September Mini-Issue completes this special series by presenting selected expanded papers concerned with systems and applications of THz waves.
