Adaptive Classification for Automatic Target Recognition

The design of an adaptive classifier for the integrated automatic target recognition and cueing (ATR/q) system based on a passive sensor suite is presented in this paper. The system configuration is described which requires effective fusion of information available from multiple passive sensors. The emphasis of the paper is placed on the design of an adaptive classifier using fuzzy logic. Processing results of field test data are also presented.
