Interactions Between Torsional Vibrations Of Large Turboalternators And Electric Networks

The paper deals with the problem of torsional vibrations on the shaft of modern large turboalternators. The theoretical development is essentially based upon the definition of electrical analogues both for the mechanical part (machine's rotor) and for the electric power system as viewed from the machine's ports. Practical simplified computing procedures are also derived; their validity and advantages are examined and illustrated via realistic data of an existing system.
