Contaminated Environment Testing Of Cable Terminations

The performance of cable terminations operating in contaminated environments is highly dependent on the material properties and the geometrical configuration of the termination's weather sheds. Two test methods incorporating salt fog, salt slurry, and metal salt contaminating procedures were used to performance rank several termination designs.
