Switching mode power convertor with phase locked oscillator as a driver for an ultrasonic atomizer

An advanced switching mode power convertor for driving an ultrasonic atomizer transducer is presented. The unique characteristics of the ultrasonic atomizer/transducer are presented to show the key requirements for the developed circuit. The unique elements of the power circuit are; (1) The tuned LC power network and, (2) The drive oscillator locked to the phase of the resonant load.
