A matrix model based on the optical cross section theorem for analyzing the scattering of nanoparticles

Optical cross-sections of individual metallic nanoparticles in dielectric-loaded media have been studied to efficiently propose electric-field enhancement schemes in nanophotonic networks and devices. In this paper, we employ the optical cross sections of a particle to describe a theoretical model for scattering of a single metallic nanoparticle.
