MV active filters for utilities applications

The circulation of harmonic currents on power distribution networks causes an increase in harmonic voltages. This paper presents a comparative study of two filters for MV distribution networks and the manufacture of a MV active series power filter placed on the load side of the MV/HV transformer in a substation.
