PI based sliding mode control for synchronization of Lu and Bao hyperchaotic systems

In this paper, master-slave synchronization scheme of non-identical hyperchaotic systems is discussed using the sliding mode control strategy. Hyperchaotic Lu system is considered as master and hyperchaotic Bao system as slave system. Lyapunov stability theory is used for stabilization and convergence of error dynamics. A proportional-integral (PI) switching surface is proposed to ensure the synchronization of master and slave systems in sliding motion. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed synchronization strategy.
