Abstract:

Coding/decoding techniques have become key elements in communication area because of their crucial importance in recovery of the signals at receivers' end. LDPC codes versus turbocodes have been studied in order to improve bit error rate and to increase the capacity of the systems. The present paper illustrates the behavior of multiuser DS-CDMA system when turbocodes and LDPC are used. In the presence of AWGN and depending on the type of multiuser detector used to recover the signals, the performances of such system can be improved. The multiple users' performances are evaluated in terms of BER vs SNR and the main advantages and disadvantages are outlined in the final chapter.
