The UWA/PTB optical to microwave frequency chain

This paper reports on the development of a second generation coherent optical to microwave frequency chain based on the difference frequency domain method. We will report the chain design as well as presenting measurements of the performance of the critical elements: efficient nonlinear radiation production and laser diode phase locking.
