Designing interactive surface for human computer interaction using webcam

Human Computer Interaction (HCI) aims to improve the interactions between users and computers by making computers more usable and receptive to users' needs. In this paper we propose an algorithm to convert a surface into an interactive surface using webcam to improve HCI. We introduce a novel algorithm to control cursor position as well as cursor command. In our algorithm, we incorporate template matching and color detection techniques. This interactive surface works as a touch screen.
