Conducted emission measurements for a laptop

The problem of reducing electromagnetic interferences (EMI) in industrial and commercial systems is today an issue of international interest. Since nowadays the field of electrical and electronics engineering has rapidly advanced, various apparatus, such as radio and television broadcast stations communication transmitters and mobile phone, intentionally radiate electromagnetic energy during their normal functioning. Other wide spread devices, e.g. PCs and industrial systems with speed-controlled drives, emit electromagnetic energy, eventhough these emissions are undesired and useless. They also produce disturbances at the power supply line[1]. A Laptop was chosen as an Equipment Under Test (EUT). The configuration of the EUT was investigated and the results are presented for the conducted emissions measurement.
