Upconversion in Gd2O3: Er, Yb nanophosphors obtained by hydrothermal and reverse microemulsion methods

Erbium and ytterbium co-doped Gd₂O₃ nanocrystals were prepared by hydrothermal and reverse microemulsion methods. The upconversion luminescence spectra of Er³⁺ ions were measured at room temperature. An effect of synthesis conditions on the luminescence efficiency is discussed.
