Mitigating the dispersion of convolution quadrature approaches to the solution of the time domain integral equations of electromagnetics

Convolution quadrature approaches to the solution of integral equations can be extremely stable and highly accurate. The primary drawback of these approaches is that the discretization they provide has broad (and ever-broadening) temporal support, which can make them inefficient and further give rise to dispersion error. Methods for mitigating this inefficiency and error by halting the evolution of the support of the Green's function are discussed, and demonstrated with numerical results.
