Carsharing and IT Enabled Services

Car sharing offers various benefits which are not available through typical car ownership or car rental. Functions enabled by car sharing allow drivers to enjoy new benefits from driving. In this paper, in order to present the benefits of car sharing services, we investigate services provided by a numbers of leading Car sharing Service Providers. We will also show that many of the most advantageous of these new services are realized through the use of information and communication technology, and will be evolved further by innovation introduced by using information communication technology.
