Matlab-Simulink model of solid-state transformer realized with matrix converters

A three-phase to three-phase solid-state transformer (SST) is considered in the present paper. The SST realization is based on a matrix converter of three-phase line voltage to one-phase high-frequency voltage. A high-frequency single-phase transformer is used with center tapped secondary winding for galvanic isolation and for obtaining a high transformation coefficient. The converter in the secondary winding of the transformer operates in a mode of high-frequency rectifier, which modulates the rectified voltage according to sinusoidal law with the line frequency. The algorithm of operation is verified using simulation using the program Matlab-Simulink. The simulation results are presented in the paper.
