A novel ZVS resonant-type flyback microinverter with regenerative snubber

A novel zero-voltage switching (ZVS) technique for a single stage flyback microinverter is proposed in this paper. The technique is implemented with a simple snubber, consisting of just a few passive elements and a variable frequency control (ZVS) technique. In the paper, the microinverter with the passive snubber is presented, the modes of operation of the converter are discussed and analyzed, the converter's ZVS operation is explained and the design of the converter is demonstrated. Experimental results obtained from a lab prototype are presented as well.
