Report: The effects of software inspections on a major telecommunications project

Software inspections are a highly formalized and rigorous technique used for the identification and removal of errors in software products.^1,2 Faithfully applied, they have beneficial impact on the productivity and quality of a project. As a result, software inspections were selected as a critical ingredient in the overall Software Quality Assurance Plan to guide the development and evolution of a major, real time telecommunications software project.
