Touch in user interface navigation

Extensive research has been conducted into the use of touch feedback in human-computer interaction. This work has involved the development of input devices with force feedback, studies on tactual perception and the development of design tools and techniques for integrating touch in the user interface. In the current paper several key results will be briefly summarized.
