Inverted organic solar cell of high current density and efficiency with ZnO nanorods

Low band-gap material has been developed to replace P3HT recently for fitting solar spectrum and better performance in organic solar cell. With these low band-gap materials, many different fabrication or treatments can improve the performance of the device, but these treatments must correspond to the different material properties for the control. In this work, we control the ZnO nanorod morphology and improve the performance of the device. The power conversion efficiency of devices in different systems, PBDTTT-C/PC71BM and PBDTTT-C-T/PC71BM are enhanced from 4.52% to 6.07% and 5.40% to 7.09%, respectively.
