Synthesis of titania for anode material of Li-Ion battery

Synthesis of titania for anode material was conducted using precipitation technique and flame assisted spray pyrolysis (FASP) technique. Using precipitation technique, the as-prepared titania was rutile in phase. The FASP technique produced titania powder in rutile and anatase phase. The composition of rutile and anatase can be controlled by varying of the precursor flow rate. Both as-prepared materials can be used for lithiation process to produce Li₄Ti₅O₁₂ material.
