An automated technique to determine the induced current in transcranial magnetic stimulation

This paper presents the development of an automated transcranial magnetic stimulation system. The finite element simulator was integrated with neuronavigation software, and a robot, to accurately localize the excitation coil and model the electromagnetic field and induced current in the head. This system allows users to see the depth, location, and shape of the magnetic field in relation to the subject's brain on a computer monitor.
