The integration of a medical team through an online medical platform for the supervision of bronchial asthma

The present work brings forward the integration of a medical team made by a general practitioner and by a pulmonary physician from the countryside that supervise the children diagnosed with Bronchial Asthma and a paediatrician from a university clinic, by means of an online platform. The purpose of this team was to make a better evaluation, clinically and of the functional respiratory samples (VEMS, PEF, VC), for the future establishment of an optimal treatment for these children, and in order to obtain a better control of the bronchial asthma for them, at their domicile and without repetitive transportation to hospital. The study involved 18 children, between 5-14 years old, with the domicile in a socio-economic disadvantaged rural area, far away from a special clinic, and was accomplished between June 2012 - August 2013.
