A new sensor for the void fraction measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow

Based on Capacitively Coupled Contactless Conductivity Detection (C⁴D) technique, a new sensor for the void fraction measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow is developed. The research work can be divided into three steps: 1) To design a new six-electrode C⁴D sensor, which is suitable for the void fraction measurement of gas-liquid two-phase flow. 2) To develop the void fraction measurement model by Linear Regression method. 3) To test the effectiveness of the developed C⁴D sensor by void fraction measurement experiments. The research results show that the developed six-electrode C⁴D sensor is successful and the measurement performance of the sensor is satisfactory.
