Architectures for future sensor networks

Future sensor networks will require very low power sensor nodes, which can energy harvest from their environment, and function without human intervention for extremely long lifetimes. In this paper we outline some of the challenges in communicating with such devices, and potential architectures that may alleviate some of these challenges.
