Tapering technique for an embedded microstructure fiber device

In order to further improve the optical efficiency of the optical fiber image slicer, we designed an embedded microstructure fiber slicer. To reduce the transmission loss, we designed and fabricated a large-heating-zone moving planner-flame taper system to manufacture the fiber slicer. We studied the influence of the heating-zone, reasonable heating-zone could improve the device quality. As the heater is mobile and there is air holes in the perform, the heating temperature must be in accurate range.
