Temporal variations in the channel matrix in few-mode fiber recirculating loop transmission

We study short-term variations and long-term stability of the channel matrix for a few-mode fiber re-circulating loop using a few-mode EDFA for inline amplification. Our results are based on the singular values of the channel matrix and the system performance per mode.
