Design of drug delivery system for blood pressure control

Hypertension may occur to many patients after surgery. Infusion of vasodilator drugs, such as sodium nitroprusside (SNP) can quickly lower the blood pressure in most patients. During infusion of the drug, automatic infusion is found to be more efficient than manual injection. Hence various automatic control methods are studied. Unity feedback control, PID control, internal model control and Dahlin's control have been used in this work and the outputs of each method are compared.
