Fibre optic monitoring of electrical discharges

The optical fibre techniques outlined provides information about the behaviour of the discharge during high frequency arcing and at lower frequency 50Hz. The trade off between data/information/uncertainty will be further demonstrated by other fibre optic based techniques.
