Supplier Control and Firm Performance in Service Supply Chain: The Role of Cooperation Risk and Knowledge Sharing Intention

This study examines the relationship between supplier control and firm performance and the role of knowledge sharing intention and cooperation risk. Using data collected from China Mobile, we demonstrate that formal control and social control are both positively related to supplier's knowledge sharing intention, but negatively related to cooperation risk. We also find that supplier's knowledge sharing intention is positively related to firm performance and cooperation risk is negatively related to firm performance, which means supplier's knowledge sharing intention and cooperation risk are mediated between supplier control and firm performance. And theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.
