Analysis of conventional single-ended magnetic amplifiers with inductive-resistive load including the derivation of transfer functions

The operation of single-ended magnetic amplifiers with resistive load has been thoroughly explained in the literature and various types of analysis have been suggested.1‐⁵ However, no analytical method has yet been presented by which an input-output relation for single-ended magnetic amplifiers with inductive load can be obtained. In order to predict the value of the output corresponding to a given input, use of certain graphical techniques is introduced in reference 6, but this method fails to give any information about the transient response of the system.
