A new Gunn-diode active notch antenna stabilized with a slotline ring resonator

This paper discusses the design and measurements of a Gunn-diode active notch antenna and compares the results with a similarly configured passive antenna. A simple transmission line model is used to predict the slotline ring's resonant frequency. The numerical results compare well with the experimental results. Also the active antenna's radiation patterns compare well with those measured for the passive antenna.
