Sensors in cyber-physical emergency systems

This paper surveys current research on wireless sensor assisted evacuation and rescue systems and discusses related research in communications and sensor networks. Other important issues that we survey for large scale emergency response systems include distributed control, knowledge discovery, and prototyping platforms.
